Typical Calendar

The typical study year in the University of Wuppertal in general and on the CSiS Master´s Programme is following:

Winter semester: from October 1^st to March 31^st

• Block course on Mathematical Foundations: first two weeks of October*
• Regular studies for the 1^st semester students: from the next week after the Block course
• Regular studies for the 3^rd semester students: from the beginning of the semester (First working week after October 1^st)
• Exam on Block course: end of October (1^st attempt), end of November (2^nd attempt)
• Christmas holidays: end of December – beginning of January
• Lecture period ends in the beginning of February and exam session starts right after and goes until the end of March

Summer semester: from April 1^st to September 30^th

• Regular studies for the 2^nd semester students: from the mid April
• Lecture period ends in mid-July and exam session starts right after and goes until the end of September

Other dates:

• Application period in uni-assist: from November 15^th until March 31^st
• Regular deadline for coming to Wuppertal: October 1^st (start of studies)
• Last deadline for coming to Wuppertal: October 31^st*

* If you did not get your visa on time, you need to inform us about this. In this case you are allowed to defer the start of your studies by one year. Deadline for informing us is September 15^th
