Permission to take exams / Registration for Block Course exam
Your first exam on CSiS Programme is the examination on the Block Course of Mathematical Foundation. To take this exam and all other exams in future, you need to print the CSiS Statement Form (click the button below), fill it in and sign it, and then bring it to Mr. Dmytro Potikha in CSiS Office (F.10.05) before the Block Course exam:
Registration for restricted repeatable exams (CSim1, CSim3)
There are exams which can be taken only 3 times. They are called "restricted repeatable". CSim1, CSim3, and CFM1 are among them. Students register for the restricted-repeatable exams via StudiLöwe.
Registration is only possible if all prerequisites have been successfully completed.
CSim 1 prerequisites:
- block course exam is successfully passed;
- ungraded coursework from "Introduction to Computer Simulation I" has at least 50% of exercise points;
- ungraded coursework from "Lab Course I” has at least 10 solutions.
CSim 3 prerequisites:
- CSim 1 and CS 1 exams are successfully passed;
- "Introduction to Computer Simulation II / LabCourse II" have at least 50% of exercises and 50% of project points.
It is not possible to repeat the exam for a better grade.
De-registration is possible up to 7 days in advance of the exam date. §8 CSiS exam regulations: “... candidates can, without giving a reason, withdraw their registration for module examinations up to one week before the examination date.”
NOTE: For several categories of students, as exchange or MATHS-DISC students, the registration and deregistration via StudiLöwe is not possible. In this case, you need to fill in the form (below) and send it to the Central Exam Office to Mr. Philipp Depiereux (depiereux[at]uni-wuppertal.de):
Registration for other (unrestrictedly repeatable) exams
The module examinations are conducted in accordance with the descriptions in the Module Reference Book. The registration to the exams with unrestricted number of attempts is performed via the Moodle course of the corresponding module.
Normally the dealine for the registration expires in 2 weeks before the date exam, but further instructions could be given by the lecturer. The registration period for exams offered by other departments/faculties is determined by those departments and should also be clarified by the lecturer.
Information on exam regulations (read about the registration for the exams in §§ 4, 8, 11, and 13) can be found on the corresponding webpage:
Information on exam prerequisites is available in the Module Reference Book ("Nachweise" Section in the description of every module) by the link:
